As I was in Warrington getting a few things- shoes, a hat and bug spray amongst them, I decided to take another stroll down the canal.
The last time I walked this section was in 2021, after the final lockdown ended (which felt like slipping into an alternate reality for a while)
Then there was a path going down to the River Mersey. That was closed and it looks like the area will be made into a Nature reserve, (if it had been just left alone might have been better)
Anyway, a nice walk, Ferry tavern looked busy, so didn’t stop in- maybe next time!
